My Favorite Margarita
Everyone has their own personal preference for the ratio and strength of their favorite margarita. Since this site started out as a way for me to keep my recipes for lookup later, this is mine.
The usual ratio for a margarita is 3 parts tequila to 1 part cointreau. However, that ratio is too bitter for me and tastes too much like straight-up tequila, which I dislike. In my version, the result is a lot less bitter, but to each her own, right?
The important thing for you is that this is a true margarita. It’s not something concocted from a sugar-added, artificial “margarita mix.” Why do you need a mix for something that only has 3 ingredients anyway? Experiment with your own ratios and enjoy the process (as we did).
